Remodel and expansion of an entire elementary school campus in Richmond. What made this project unique is that many of the building structures were re-used, while the foundations that supported them were demolished and re-built. We worked closely with the general contractor and other trades to rough in walls and ceilings while the foundations were being built in order to keep up with the construction schedule.
A 39,000 sq ft expansion of an existing hospital, including emergency power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, operating rooms and headwall units. Required connection to existing emergency, critical, life safety and normal power in an operating central plant.

George Mark Children’s Home was a sixteen thousand square foot new building on the Fairmont Hospital Campus for severely ill children and their families. The project was built to replicate a large custom house to help the children and families feel at home. Del Monte Electric was honored to be part of this special project.
These nine school modernization were completed concurrently within an eight month period. We worked closely with the owner and general contractors to create a project schedule that allowed these projects to be completed in the limited time frame without disruption to the occupied campuses.
Complete demolition and renovation of the 100 year old historic Doe Library on the UC Berkeley campus. Included extensive lighting and controls, switchgear, medium voltage wiring, fire alarm, paging, telecommunications, and security systems.
This project involved the complete electrical, fire alarm, and intrusion alarm installations on three school sites. The work included modernization of existing buildings, wiring of new buildings, and complete electrical distribution and site work upgrades on the three sites, totaling 223,000 square feet of building space.

Installation of roof mounted PV solar panels at the new Exploratorium project at Pier #15 in San Francisco. Required coordination with barge cranes to load roof and very congested staging conditions.
This project involved the installation of fixed PV solar panels on carport structures and rooftops at fifty-one school sites. This contract included the installation of PV panels, switchgear and wiring back to the utility point of connection. The majority of these sites were completed in occupied facilities.
Construction of a new hotel in Lafayette including lighting, lighting controls, power, fire alarm, security, and data systems.

Complete remodel of three existing dorm buildings totaling over 200,000 square feet of floor area. The work included medium voltage distribution, new line voltage distribution, fire alarm systems, security and access control systems, and voice/data systems.
All electrical work associated with a twenty story high-rise apartment tower built along Lake Merritt in Oakland. This project encompassed 480,000 square feet and 285 apartment units. The scope of work included lighting, switchgear, emergency power distribution, bus duct, security, fire alarm, television, and data systems.
Construction of a new forty-five thousand square foot, two story library on top of an underground parking garage in downtown Walnut Creek. This was a “Green” building with several daylighting and dimmable lighting zones to reduce energy consumption. This building included conference and meeting rooms with state of the art audio visual systems. It also included lighting, normal and emergency power distribution, fire alarm, security, paging, and data systems.
Design/build contract to provide the electrical work for the core and shell. Work included lighting, gear, fire alarm, and data systems.
Design/Build contract to provide new classroom facilities at UC Berkeley to accommodate students while existing facilities are being renovated. The electrical design needed to be as flexible as possible to accommodate students from different majors and disciplines.

Location: Hayward Contract Amount: $4,000,000 General Contractor: Harris Construction Description: Included all electrical work and controls for a new milk processing facility in Hayward. Included extensive motor control work.
Design and build renovation of an existing 28,000 medical office building that was stripped down to the exterior walls and re-designed to meet current health care demands. Numerous exam rooms, office spaces, and conference spaces were designed and built with the latest technologies to meet the owner’s needs. BIM modeling was utilized to ensure that all systems were properly coordinated prior to installation.
